Inspired by the natural beauty of a poppy pod, this unique, handmade vase is coil built in a buff stoneware clay. Layering lengths of clay on top of one another we gradually recreated the burgeoning sides and hand formed the rippling edge around the top to symbolise the tell-tale detail of a poppy pod. Each piece is finished with a soft, off-white glaze that hints at the natural tone of the clay below.
