Denton Reserve, Yorkshire

For makers, there is no greater compliment than seeing your work truly belong within a space.

This special project saw our ceramics find a home within the beautifully restored Denton Hall, a Palladian stately hall designed by the renowned 18th century English architect John Carr. A place shaped by craftsmanship at every level, its vision has been thoughtfully reimagined by the incredible team at Box 9 Design, creating a new expression of rural luxury rooted in a passion for craft, nature and timeless design.

Alongside the work of talented artisans and makers whose pieces reside throughout the hall, our ceramics were chosen to sit naturally within interiors where every detail feels calm, thoughtful and deeply considered.

The palette is one of quiet luxury. Soft, muted tones sit alongside natural wood, stone and richly layered textures, with hues drawn from the surrounding landscape: soil, heather and moorland moss translated into pigment and material. Light moves gently through the spaces, casting a soft luminosity and cocooning shadows throughout the day. Beyond every window, the Yorkshire countryside unfolds; wild moors, ancient woodlands, a private lake and roaming deer becoming part of the experience of the hall itself.

Our Rosa Petal Bowl and a collection of Atlas Terracotta Beads were selected for the project. Handmade in our studio, each piece was designed to complement the tactile richness of the interiors. The delicate floral form of the Rosa Petal Bowl brings softness and movement, while the earthy warmth of the Atlas Terracotta Beads echoes the natural materials and colours found throughout the hall.

At the heart of the interiors is a beautiful conversation between materials, colour and light. Smooth walls painted in muted, calming tones provide a quiet canvas for the textures of timber, stone, textiles and handmade ceramics. Throughout the day, natural light moves gently through the hall, casting soft illumination and cocooning shadows that bring depth and atmosphere to each room. Together, these elements create spaces that feel harmonious, restorative and deeply connected to the landscape beyond.

To see our ceramics at home within Denton Hall, surrounded by exceptional craftsmanship and centuries of history, feels incredibly special. It is a place that celebrates artistry, heritage and a profound connection to the landscape, values that resonate deeply with our own approach to making.
