Nestled in the heart of Gloucestershire is Blackfriars Priory, a 13th-century monastery steeped in history and captivating medieval architecture. The beautiful crumbling structure made the perfect backdrop for this romantic and ethereal tablescape, brought together by stylist Rebecca Marie and captured by Courtney Marie photography.
The table is set for an intimate reception with a selection of our handmade and organically formed ceramics sitting peacefully along the table, holding displays of wildflowers and dried blooms.
The sculptural shape and rustic pebble glaze of our Skimming Stone vases work in perfect harmony with plumes of dahlias and graceful flora, effortlessly reflecting the timeworn colours of the surrounding stonework. A few delicate stems of Queen Anne’s lace were displayed in our Nesting bowls, while dried shoots of cows parsley and broom stood tall in our Loam Ikebanas.
We handcraft each bowl, vase and candlestick using a rustic clay which when fired in the kiln, creates a natural speckled surface. To finish each piece we used a wash of our favourite soft matte glaze, the two mediums combined are an ode to the rustic textures of this ethereal space.

Sitting quietly within a recess of this magnificent structure our bespoke hand-thrown candlestick holders cold be found. Displayed at varying heights and intertwined with layers of delicate fabrics, all illuminated by the gentle glow of candlelight.
Framing the space; naturally dyed fabrics are heavily draped and hung from above, like architectural structures of their own.
